on topic, i too often find myself in my classes, playing old snes games, rather than paying attention.....:/ but hey, Ive always put homeworks and projects first, and games later, and that has helped me maintain my grades. MY theory is, if you know whats going on, you can afford to slack off now and again, just not too much.

I would like to think of myself as the model slacker. I do everything I can before actual school work. But hey, I still managed a cumulative 4.1 through high school and all my college classes have been A's so far.

I don't really think that its the video games. It's about the desire to earn the grade.

Just because there's a correlation doesn't mean they share a cause and effect relationship, damnit. How do you know the reason you're playing video games isn't because you're getting bad grades? Some kids watch TV, go out, and play video games more because they're just not good at school and already had bad grades. Maybe the material just got harder.

Hell I played video games in high school, never had a problem grade wise. In fact...the ONLY way I could pass high school was to bullshit my way through it all, doing it legit and putting effort into it always ended up with me pissing off the teachers and failing.
